Sara Wright was born January 18, 1969 in Washington D.C. to Bruce and Susie Wright.
She grew up in Fullerton, California through Jr.. high school and in Cambria, California during her high school years. After graduating high school she moved to San Francisco and attended San Francisco State University. Actually, she probably did most of her growing up in San Francisco. In fact, she had so much fun growing up that she lost focus and dropped out of school. She got a job as a receptions/clerk at a law firm. She strived to learn as much as she could and began climbing the ladder. She then went back to San Francisco State and earned a paralegal certificate.
Sara is now a trust and estate administration paralegal at the law firm Hanson, Bridgett, Marcus, Vlahos and Rudy.
Michael DeWeil was born in Inglewood, CA to Charles and Joan DeWeil.
Michael was raised in Simi Valley, CA, but went to kindergarten in Brewster, NY and spent many summers in Brooklyn. At the age of 11, his older sister, Virginia took him and his younger brothers and sister to the Renaissance Faire in Southern California. He hasn't been the same since! He began in a children's guild and acting in stage shows. But as soon as he was old enough, he was driving the ladies crazy at Soak-a-Bloke, the kissing booth. Later, as times changed and a kissing booth raised too many "issues", Soak-a-Bloke was closed. While working security he noticed that the Morris Dancers had quite a female following. So, he joined Pipe & Bowl and became a Morris Dancer, which lead to him also learning English Country Dance where the guys get to dance with the ladies. Michael moved to San Francisco soon after meeting Sara on a trip to the Lark In The Morning Music Camp.
Michael is now a webmaster and a student at City College of San Francisco. He plans to transfer to a university to study Engineering.
Sara and Michael have been together now since 1993. - yep 13 years
Yes, we met in a bar.
Years ago, Sara, the pool shark, walked into her "regular" San Francisco bar after work for a Guiness and a game. The bar was empty except for Sara's friend, Kevin Fanning, and a man with beautiful blue eyes. The man was Kevin's friend, Michael, who in the Bay Area from Simi Valley work at the Lark In The Morning Music camp. The three hung out and played pool while the bar filled up. Eventually, Kevin and Michael had to leave to run an errand.
A couple of hours later, Kevin dropped Michael off at his truck which was parked by the bar. Before getting in the truck, Michael went back to the bar to see if Sara was still there. According to Michael, Sara was surrounded by men. Sara claims she was just talking to one friend, who happened to be a man. Undaunted by the hordes of men surrounding Sara, but not wanting to interrupt TOO much, Michael walked up and kissed Sara on the cheek, then turned around and walked out. Sara decided she wasn't going to let Michael steal a kiss and walk out. She chased him out the door and then we sat on his tailgate and talked for a long while. Skipping many details, Michael eventually moved to San Francisco where our love grew. Sara quickly realized that if she wanted to see Michael on weekends during the summer, she better start going to the Renaissance Faire. She tried working at booths, but couldn't stand selling things. She then got a job in a kitchen, but that was too much like work. So, she learned to do English Country dancing. We've spent the roughly 13 year since, dancing, hiking, skiing, scuba diving, traveling, loving and just living life together. A little over a year ago, we even bought a house together, which is what brought us from San Francisco across the Bay to Oakland. We have finally decided we have gone way beyond being boyfriend and girlfriend and should live the rest of our lives together as husband and wife.
